Grand Scribe

Knight Grand Cross of the Temple of Jerusalem, Grand Scribe, Commander of Bedford.

Greetings, my name is Sir Thomas Cundy, I have always had a passion for following the example of the Knight Templars. Their devotion to and defence of the Christian faith is honourable. Looking at how they formed and protected the pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land.

My faith grew when I got to an age where I could understand more about Christianity after I left school and found the influences that once distracted and clouded my mind had gone their separate ways, allowing me to ask and seek the answers.

When I became a father, my eyes opened further to the perils that are in the world, teaching my kids to walk the path of righteousness isn’t always easy and opens more questions (from them, which sometimes, honestly, I do not have the answers), but this is where teaching them that prayer is not only a powerful weapon, but God can open the reality of the truth that He wants revealed.

I am currently a Lay Leader in an Anglo-Catholic church and very traditional. This has opened more about defending the faith than anything else. People come with so much that teaching truth comes with defending that point on scripture, with God’s help and strength.

I joined the Order of the Knights Templar of the Old Code to follow the way of truth in Christ, to be with others that can be the ‘iron [that] sharpens iron’ Proverbs 27:17. Because it is important to surround yourself with believers.

Since joining and doing everything I can to assist the Order, I have been humbly honoured to receive ranks of Grand Scribe (which position I continue to hold), Knight Commander of the Templar, Commander of Bedford and recently been bestowed with Knight Grand Cross of the Temple of Jerusalem.

This has been a humbling journey and one I never imagined would bring me this far in the Order. The things I learn and study from the Order and self-study help mould my way of serving not only the Order, but God!

Jusr so you know, that with every step you take with the Order, the more we get to learn about God but also learn that it’s not everything and some things, like with the example of my kids, we may never know the answer. But standing firm and walking with the Order helps maintain that straight and narrow path. I have been a minister in another church before I went back to the Anglo-Catholic Church, for reasons of theology and ideologies that the church wanted, and I wanted no part of and was forced out of my position. With this in mind, I pray that those brothers and sisters will see the truth and follow the God of the Bible and be free from heresy and walk away from an apostate church. This is why again we need each other, we need God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in our lives.

God bless you all,

Sir Thomas Cundy KGCTJ, Commander of Bedford, Grand Scribe.
